Zelman Symphony present 'Drama, Energy and Colour'

The restless power of Mozart's Don Giovanni Overture meets the energy of Beethoven's Second Symphony. This is music full of the daring and energetic power of a composer changing music forever. Tchaikovsky was also pushing boundaries when he wrote his violin concerto - it was considered unplayable! History has destroyed that assertion and pronounced it to be one of the most loved of all violin concertos.

When Ji Won Kim performed the Beethoven Concerto with us last March the audience response was overwhelming. We are thrilled to announce her return in 2014 in what will be an unforgettable evening of wonderful music.

Ji Won received the ABC Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year Award in 2009 and has since played as soloist with nearly all of the major Australian Orchestras including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Sir Andrew Davis, as well as many overseas orchestras.

Mark Shiell will present a pre-concert talk in the auditorium commencing 7.30pm.
