Victorian branch, also representing Tasmania, of a national network of band and orchestra directors. Ostensibly a resource for directors rather than for individuals seeking ensembles, but it does have a list of links to ensembles. Strangely, for orchestras, only professional ensembles are listed. Currently has 5 ensemble projects inviting community membership: Winter String School, Conservatorium Orchestra, Conservatorium Opera, Conservatorium Southern Gospel Choir, Conservatorium Big Band. Music Council of Australia has relaunched as Music Australia. Our website is now: www.musicaustralia.org.au for information about our organisation and its services. Over the coming months we are working to update information from this website and move it to our Music Australia new site.

The Music in Communities Network and Music: Count Us In have released the first part of a new initiative to encourage links between schools and their communities, through music.
